You are absolutely doing the right thing. I cried when I read the story of Rikki. I currently have 3 cats--one is 12 years old now and another is 11 years old now. Both were adopted when they were kittens in Humane Society of Charlotte Shelter. I slso have a Maine Coon boy who will be 10 years old on Oct. 30. I am on a fixed income yet I am a member of the Humane Society of the United States (Gold Member) as well as a monthly supporter, a member of the ASPCA and an ASPCA Animal Guardian, a member of North Shore Animal League America and a monthly supporter (foster mom) to assist any animals with chronic heath problems which help that animal's foster home and those still at North Shore as their motto is "No animal is a throwaway.". My name is Jeri Moll and I am on Facebook. You can contact me there--just leave a message so that I can recoginze your name. Is there some way that I can adopt one of those kittens? They are precious. I am on a fixed income but I have plenty of love to give and if I am receiving a kitten that has a clean "bill of health" from a vet and is up to date on shots, that would at least help to defer the initial expenses. From what I read, you live in Georgia. I live in North Carolina. Let me know if I can give one of these little orphans a home. All my cats are 100% house cats--I do not let them out to wander the streets where they cam fall victim to countless dangers. God Bless You and the work that you are doing. By the way, I also give from time to time to Animal Rescue Site and participate with their site on Facebook. I have order many things from their catalogue to give as gifts and also things to keep for myself. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Shared on FB & Twitter! Everybody please spread the word about these sweeties and donate if you can!
