The little lab mix female is only 30 pounds and a year old. She gets along with all the dogs and loves kids and people. She has little white toes and a tip on her tail. She is always smiling and is a terrific find. Although she has lab in her , she is sleek like a greyhound or whippet and has a slender face and ears.
The little female pit mix is also only 30 pounds. Whatever she is mixed with gave her beautiful green eyes. She is a find too! She loves all the dogs at the shelter. This weekend, groups of volunteers had all the dogs out at once. She just smiled and kissed most of them. Her tail never stops wagging.
The big boy lab mix is about 45 pounds. He is a lover boy. His tail wags and his smile grows as people pass his run. He isn't loud and overactive. He waits for someone to get a leash and take him for a walk around the shelter grounds. He too likes other dogs and kids.
The male pit bull we call Zoomba is a delightful boy. He just is in love with life, people, kids and other dogs. He spends hours playing with the toys in his run while he waits for visiting hours. He needs a little obedience training but has learned very quickly that if he sits quietly, he'll get lots of hugs and attention. He is medium sized and around 55 pounds.
I know that I am asking much because the lab mixes are black and the pit bulls are pit bulls but I know that all these dogs deserve a second chance at life. I really don't want to have to say goodbye tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. especially since they are all healthy and well adjusted young dogs.
